Christmas Village Interlaken: Held from 15 to 17 December 2023 at Kursaal-Park, it transforms into a romantic little village with a variety of food stands and a spicy-sweet Christmas aroma.

Winterlaken Ost: Enjoy the sparkling lights, the work of art “Stärneband», the delicious scent of mulled wine, and cheerful people! Winterlaken in Interlaken Ost has a warm atmosphere and invites you to enjoy, stroll, and linger. From 17 November, visit the mulled wine bar at the Youth Hostel and admire the large Christmas tree and the largest tree canopy in Switzerland. Meet friends for a
mulled wine tasting and try a tasty bratwurst. The special atmosphere in Interlaken Ost invites you to soak up the Christmas spirit and discover trendy gift ideas.

Matten: Saturday 9 December 2023 from 10 am – 8 pm on Metzgergasse. Small but beautiful – the Christmas market in Matten. There’ll be plenty to marvel at and experience for people of all ages. Lovingly created goods and culinary delicacies are on offer from mainly local exhibitors.

From November 17th until December 24rd

Thun offers a festive atmosphere with mulled wine, regional produce, and handicrafts. You can also enjoy the beautifully decorated Christmas tree at Rathausplatz On a stroll around the tiny wooden chalets at Thun Christmas market, visitors will discover regional products, handicrafts, and gifts. Children and adults can also try their hand at candle dipping. Join the celebrations on the town hall square and watch as the Christmas tree lights are lit. Enjoy the live music and treat yourself to a mulled wine and fondue. From this day onwards, the Christmas lights will enhance the festive atmosphere in the city center.

From December 1st until 24th

Two different places offer two different ambiances.

Münsterplatz is devoted mainly to arts and crafts. There, you can discover regional handicrafts, biscuits and sweets, culinary specialties, various objects, jewelry, and games. Let the special atmosphere at the arts and crafts market enchant you and enjoy the Christmas ambiance away from the hustle and bustle.

If you prefer a more traditional market, check the one happening on Waisenhausplatz. Here you will find everything you need to decorate your home for the holidays: special candles, sparkling balls, garlands, lights… You are sure to find the right presents for others or yourself in the more than 50 individually designed festive wooden huts and market stalls.
