Where to go swimming in Interlaken

When visiting Interlaken during the Summertime, it can be really hot. What is better to refresh you up than jumping into the crystal clear water of Interlaken lakes or swimming in a beautiful pool with the view over the Swiss Alps.

1. Sunset swim in the lake

The best spot to end a perfect day in the Alps. This is our favorite spot to dive into the lake, watch the sunset, and have a bbq. Added bonus, there are super clean toilets that are free to use!

2. Public Swimming Pool

We felt that the public swimming pool needed to be included in this list as it’s incredibly beautiful inside and outside the pool. But personally, we much rather go swimming in the lake.

3. The Beach – Strandbad Bönigen

The best beach vibe you can find in the Alps! Visit www.the-beach.ch for info and opening times. This beach club charges an entrance fee of 5.50 CHF but in return, you’ll receive lots of comfort and clean facilities.

4. Sunrise swim in the lake

Perfect for early risers with courage! Come early and you see the sun come up on the opposite end of the lake. Walk along the beach and find yourself a good spot to jump into the water. Be aware: water temperature is cold so bring enough warm clothes to warm up after.

5. Swimming pool at Tent Village

Looking to jump into the water close to the hostel? Guests of Balmers Hostel can make free use of the swimming pool and jacuzzi at the 텐트빌리지. Perfect to combine with drinks at the bar!
