Eurotrip around Interlaken

1. Como, Italy

lake como italy

Lake Como is worth a detour. Between the beauty of its landscapes and the Italian Dolce Vita, you are probably wondering what to see and what to do at Lake Como. A popular tourist destination, Lake Como offers wonderful mountain landscapes bathed in blue and green waters as well as prestigious villages such as Varenna or Bellagio. An easy and must-see destination during your Eurotrip from Interlaken

A few days are enough to visit Lake Como. The ideal duration in my opinion is 3 full days on-site. This will allow you both to take the time to enjoy the landscapes, but also not to get bored.

Como is the main city of the region and overlooks all of Lake Como. It is a small medieval town where you can visit many historical monuments and where the streets have kept their charm of yesteryear. In particular, do not miss Piazza Cavour: a former marsh, it is now the main square of the city. You will find many bars and restaurants there as well as the best ice cream parlor in the region (Cavour Gelateria). Another point of interest in the city of Como: is its Duomo, which is one of the most important Gothic churches in northern Italy. It took 400 years to build Como Cathedral.

Lesser known than other Italian cities, Genova is well worth a visit. Get lost in the old town and its very narrow streets!
In Genova, you will discover the old port and its colorful facades, its aquarium, and its museum of the sea. Visit the San Lorenzo cathedral, in the purest Genoese style, and push the door of the Baroque churches. Stroll along the beautiful via Garibaldi and its palaces. Visit at least one of the city’s palace museums. Discover the authentic little fishing port of Boccadasse, a taste of the Cinque Terre! Take the Zecca-Righi funicular to the terminus to enjoy a superb view of the city! Stroll along via XX Settembre and admire its beautiful Liberty buildings. munich germany

After Berlin, the city of Munich is often considered the second most important city in Germany but above all the secret capital of the country: indeed, this city is as much appreciated by its inhabitants as by tourists for its monuments, its incredible museums, and its department stores. Definitely, a place to visit during your journey in Europ. The architectural style of the city oscillates between the rococo of the 18th century and the neo-classicism of the 19th century. This city was marked by the presence of the Wittelsbachs, who left as traces the castle of Nymphenburg (their summer residence) but also the palace of the residence which is located in the heart of the city. Visiting Munich, finally, is also the joy of living at every street corner. How not to mention Munich without mentioning the famous Oktoberfest which takes place there in October?

The Baie des Anges has attracted renowned artists such as Matisse and Chagall for centuries. Arriving in Nice, it is easy to understand why so many celebrities have chosen to put their luggage there. Lively, rich, and festive, the Riviera city offers many activities. The exceptional sunshine on the coast makes it a favorite destination for holidaymakers, summer and winter alike.
