Amazing hostel and the staff are very welcoming, bedrooms are clean and big lockers for everything. Would definitely come back. Jake was amazing as a staff member and behind the bar, would recommend.

One of the most social hostels I’ve ever been in. Jake was a great DJ/Barman. He made sure that eveyone enjoyed their night and did not stop until he was sure of it. Jake is one of the best hosts I’ve had and honestly recommend this hostel to everyone!

Me encantó el lugar. La vista era impresionante. Si quisieras sentir algo irreal entonces deberías visitarlo una vez. Gente encantadora y amigable de diferentes lugares y países. La ubicación era buena. Puedes caminar hasta la estación de autobuses y la estación de tren. Vista a la montaña. Personal muy respetuoso. Zona muy limpia y ordenada. Muchas áreas para relajarse, tienen diferentes actividades de club y bar. Lugar muy recomendable.

Balmers fue increíble. Si quieres conocer toneladas de gente de todas partes, este es el lugar. Todos, desde el personal hasta los invitados, fueron extremadamente amables, sociables y acogedores. El personal fue una de las mejores personas que he conocido. Iván fue tan asombroso. Ofrecen actividades para realizar, lo que facilita conocer gente y aprovechar al máximo tu viaje. Fue uno de los albergues más bonitos, limpios y bien mantenidos en los que he estado. Vale la pena el precio. Tienen un club, bares, una excelente área exterior, cerca de un montón de excelentes restaurantes, excelentes vistas a la montaña, fácil acceso a pie a la estación de tren y una máquina de café (necesaria). Me encantó este lugar y lo extraño todos los días. Además, la comida india de la zona es de primera categoría.

Uno de los mejores albergues en los que he estado... la infraestructura está bien diseñada. En las habitaciones compartidas, cada uno tiene un gran "cajón" que puede cerrar con llave y guardar sus pertenencias. Cada cama tiene una lámpara y un puerto USB y C. Hay mucho 🚽 y varios chubascos. La cocina tiene todo lo necesario para preparar una comida completa y hay un Coop (supermercado) a dos cuadras. Tienen su propio bar en el interior, uno al aire libre en el patio y otro subterráneo con mesa de ping-pong y karaoke. También tienen un albergue "museo" con mesa de billar y dardos. El jacuzzi que se ve en las fotos ya no existe o sólo se utiliza en verano; no existía en septiembre 😅. Organizan varias actividades para que todos socialicen. Hay para todos los gustos, pero recomiendo llegar con un buen nivel de inglés si buscas socializar. Hay una parada de autobús justo enfrente y además te dan una tarjeta de transporte para que al menos te ahorres en el billete... Contexto: lo usamos para dormir, comer y bañarnos, para volver de hacer senderismo y descansar y fuimos en septiembre. Obviamente es muy diferente a un hotel o un Airbnb, por eso se llama hostal.

The best hostel I've ever been to! The activities, the people, the staff, all top-notch! The Balmers guys—Joel, Dario, Ivan, Ori, Wilson, and the others—are geniuses! If you have to go to Interlaken, this is the best place to stay, without a doubt! They have everything you need to have the best time at the hostel: a great kitchen, dining room, places to relax, play music, play games, their own disco—everything. This was my second time there, and I would choose them again! Balmers will always be in my heart.

Basarnos en Interlaken fue una gran decisión, y quedarse en Balmers fue aún mejor. ¡Todos los que trabajan allí son súper amigables, y Dario siempre estuvo disponible! Volveré ❤️

Stayed in a mixed 6 bed dorm, it was in a perfect location only 15/20min walk from both stations. Rooms are basic but have everything you need, there was only 1 toilet and 1 shower on our floor which i think was shared with 12 people which did get difficult at times especially when everyone wants to use them at the same time, however more toilets and showers on the lower floors. The kitchen was a little dirty and the fridge was out of order which was kinda annoying. They give out bus passes which was helpful as we could then use any buses for free. I can imagine that if you were solo travelling it would be the most perfect hostel as they did activities in the evenings so you can meet other travellers & had an affordable restaurant and pub next door!

Look; it's a hostel - so the rooms are small, it's cramped, the beds are small, etc. But the vibe and the energy and the people staying there and the staff are great. It's in a neat area of Interlaken eith plenty of grocery store, bar, bakery and restaurant options. Jake, the bartender is great!@!
