Wir lesen jede Rezension und freuen uns über jedes Feedback. Die positiven heben unsere Stimmung und die kritischen helfen uns zu wachsen.
Allerdings haben wir uns entschieden, nicht auf jede einzelne Bewertung einzeln zu antworten. Stattdessen konzentrieren wir unsere Zeit und Energie darauf, die Dinge hier im Hostel tatsächlich zu verbessern.
Wir wissen, dass die Menschen heutzutage oft erwarten, dass Unternehmen auf jede Bewertung antworten – teils um zu zeigen, dass ihnen etwas am Herzen liegt, teils um die Sichtbarkeit im Internet zu erhöhen. Und es liegt uns sehr am Herzen. Aber auf jeden einzelnen Kommentar zu antworten, nur so, dass es so aussieht, als ob es uns wichtig wäre, fühlt sich für uns unecht an. Wir sind ein sehr menschlicher Haufen und lieben es, auf reale Art und Weise Kontakte zu knüpfen. Wir halten die Dinge lieber real, als Bewertungen zu einer Checkbox-Übung zu machen.
Wir wissen auch, dass Bewertungen zutiefst persönlich und subjektiv sind. Bitte lesen Sie sie vor diesem Hintergrund durch und berücksichtigen Sie, was Ihnen bei der Entscheidung, ob Balmers der richtige Ort für Ihren Aufenthalt ist, hilfreich ist.
Persönlicher gesagt: Eine negative Bewertung zu erhalten, insbesondere wenn diese auf mangelnder Kommunikation beruht, kann wirklich entmutigend sein. Unser Team steht Ihnen jederzeit für ein persönliches Gespräch zur Verfügung und Sie können uns auch per E-Mail, Telefon oder WhatsApp erreichen, wenn während Ihres Aufenthalts etwas nicht stimmt. Wir versuchen viel lieber, Probleme in Echtzeit zu beheben, als später darüber zu lesen, wenn es zu spät ist, um zu helfen.
Jeder hier bei Balmers kümmert sich wirklich um das, was wir tun. Wir möchten, dass Ihre Zeit bei uns Teil der „guten, besten, erstaunlichen“ Erinnerungen wird, die Sie mit nach Hause nehmen.

Willkommen bei Balmers! Zum ersten Mal hier?
Wir freuen uns riesig, dass du da bist! Damit dein Aufenthalt – und der aller anderen – so toll wie möglich wird, solltest du Folgendes beachten:

Respektiere andere und ihre Sachen.
- Unterhalte dich bitte in Zimmerlautstärke nach 22 Uhr- Einige Legenden schlafen gerne.

Check-out ist um 10 Uhr. Bitte bring deinen Bettlaken, Bettbezug und Kissenbezug zur Rezeption (die Decke und das Kissen kannst du auf dem Bett lassen).

Gib alles zurück, was du ausgeliehen hast – zum Beispiel Zimmerschlüssel oder Adapter.

Bitte schaltet das Licht aus und stellt die Ventilatoren ab, wenn ihr das Zimmer verlasst!
Ein paar No-Go`s:

Rauchen in den Zimmern ist verboten- auch mit geöffnetem Fenster.

Kein kochen ausserhalb der Gästeküche.

Lass die Fenster geschlossen wenn die Heizung an ist.

Was ist das Balmers Hostel?
Das Balmers Hostel ist die älteste privat geführte Jugendherberge der Schweiz und befindet sich in drei charmanten Schweizer Chalets, umgeben von Berggipfeln, die nur darauf warten, erkundet zu werden. Es ist ein entspannter, geselliger Ort, an dem Reisende Kontakte knüpfen, sich erholen und eine ausgelassene, einzigartige Atmosphäre genießen können.
Oh, und bevor wir es vergessen: in der Hochsaison veranstalten wir auch die ein oder andere Party.
Für wen ist das Balmers Hostel?
Das Balmers Hostel richtet sich an aufgeschlossene und unkomplizierte Reisende ab 18 Jahren, die mehr als nur eine Übernachtungsmöglichkeit suchen. Ganz gleich, ob du hier bist, um die Schweizer Alpen zu erkunden, Gleichgesinnte aus aller Welt kennenzulernen oder einfach nur zu entspannen und die Atmosphäre zu genießen – im Balmers fühlst du dich wie zu Hause. Wir heißen Alleinreisende, Gruppen von bis zu 10 Personen und alle willkommen, die Abenteuerlust mitbringen und anderen mit Respekt begegnen.

The Aare Gorge - an impressive natural wonder in Switzerland, located between Meiringen and Innertkirchen in the Haslital valley, Bernese Oberland. 💦
The water in the Aareschlucht is known for its striking icy blue and turquoise hues, a result of glacial meltwater and the mineral-rich limestone through which it flows.

My friend and I took the train from Interlaken to Lauternbrunnen for the first time and the view shocked us 🙌 As soon as you reach the station you can see the iconic waterfall that flows right above the town. Fun fact, the valley of Lauterbrunnen has 72 waterfalls!

📅 7-DAY ITINERARY👇
Day 1 — Schäfler & Seealpsee 🥾
Near Appenzell, the hike to Schäfler is moderate-to-strenuous (4–5 hrs round trip, exposed ridgeline). Take the Wasserauen cable car up to save time and loop past Seealpsee lake on the way down.
Day 2 — Arrive Interlaken 🏨
Base yourself here for the next 4 days—perfect hub for the Bernese Oberland.
Day 3 — Lauterbrunnen + Mürren Via Ferrata 🧗
Take the cable car up to the car-free village of Mürren. The via ferrata (Klettersteig) here is rated C/D (moderate-difficult) with fixed steel cables along exposed cliffs. Rent your helmet and harness locally.
Day 4 — Wengen + Jungfraujoch 🏔️
Start in Wengen, then take the cogwheel train to Jungfraujoch, the Top of Europe at 3,454m. Go early to beat tour groups and consider stopping in Grindelwald on your way back.
Day 5 — Iseltwald + Grindelwald First + Harder Kulm🌅
Morning at Iseltwald on Lake Brienz, then head to Grindelwald. Take the gondola up to First for the Cliff Walk (easy), Bachalpsee lake hike (easy, 1.5 hrs), or the First Flyer zip line. End the evening at Harder Kulm for sunset over both lakes.
Day 6 — Oeschinen Lake + Zermatt 🥾
Head to Kandersteg and take the gondola up to hike the ridge trail to Oeschinensee, an impossibly blue glacial lake (moderate, 3–4 hrs round trip). Then train to Zermatt via Brig for your first look at the Matterhorn.
Day 7 — Zermatt 🏔️
Train up to Gornergrat or hike the Five Lakes Walk (easy-moderate, ~10 km) with Matterhorn reflections at every lake.
