Harder Kulm is a viewpoint located above the town of Interlaken, Switzerland.
It is one of the most famous panoramic spots in the Bernese Oberland.
Altitude: approx. 1,322 metres above sea level
Views: spectacular views over Interlaken, Lakes Brienz and Thun, and the peaks of the Eiger, Mönch, and Jungfrau
Access: reachable either by hiking up from Interlaken or by funicular
Attractions:
A panoramic viewing platform with a partially glass floor
A castle-style panoramic restaurant
Forest walking trails on the Harder slopes
It’s a very popular spot with visitors thanks to its views and easy access.

This would be the ultimate holiday experience if you’re visiting Interlaken, Switzerland, soon. 🇨🇭😍 We did a chocolate-making class with @funkychocolateclub, complete with aprons and chef hats, and got to learn how Swiss chocolate really comes to life. From tasting cocoa beans to tempering, molding, and decorating our own bars 🍫👩🍳, it was the total experience, so here’s a little POV 🫶🏽

📍Harder Kulm is a viewpoint above Interlaken in Switzerland. From the top, you’ll see both Lake Thun and Lake Brienz, and the surrounding Bernese Alps.
How to Get There:
👉🏻 Go to Interlaken Ost railway station. From there, walk about 5 minutes across the Aare River to the valley station of the funicular.
👉🏻Take the funicular (Harderbahn) up to the summit. The ride takes about 10-15 minutes.
👉🏻Alternatively, for the more adventurous: there’s a hiking trail from Interlaken up to Harder Kulm - takes about 2-3 hours, with a steep climb.
Ticket Prices & Discounts:
👉🏻A regular adult return ticket on the funicular is around CHF 38 (about €35) in 2025.
👉🏻 If you hold a Swiss Travel Pass or Swiss Half Fare Card, you get a 50 % discount, so around CHF 19-22.
👉🏻 Season: The funicular runs from mid-April to late November (exact dates vary), so check ahead.
👉🏻 The funicular departs every 30 minutes during operating hours.
