1. Breakfast Picnic in Iseltwald
Start your day with a scenic breakfast picnic by the lake in the charming village of Iseltwald. We usually stop by the supermarket to grab supplies before heading out together.
Bring your swimsuit and towel if you’re up for a refreshing dip in the lake; it’s one of the best ways to soak in the Swiss mountain sunshine and enjoy a relaxed morning outdoors.
2. Game Night by the Fire
We love cozy evenings by the backyard fireplace! Grab a drink, join a group of fellow travelers, and dive into an easygoing game night under the stars. Whether you’re into cards, board games, or just hanging out with good company, it’s the perfect way to unwind and connect.
3. Beer Pong & Social Nights
Who’s ready for a little friendly competition?
Our Beer Pong Nights are a Balmers classic: the ultimate icebreaker and guaranteed laughter from start to finish. Grab a partner, challenge another team, and get the crowd cheering. Win or lose, it’s all about the fun.
4. Movie Night
Sometimes all you need is a chill evening with a good movie and great company. Grab a beanbag, a blanket, and settle in for Movie Night at Balmers.
From travel classics to feel-good favorites, we’ve got the perfect lineup for those cozy nights in.
5. Hike to Giessbach Waterfalls + Lake Swim
Join our crew for an epic hike to the breathtaking Giessbach Waterfalls, a hidden gem surrounded by alpine forests and lake views. After the hike, we often cool off with a swim in the turquoise waters below.
What to bring: comfy shoes, swimwear, water, snacks, a towel, and your camera because the views are unreal!
6. Bring Your Own Meat BBQ
You bring the food, we get the fire! Gather with other travelers in the garden, share stories, and grill under the open sky. It’s one of Balmers’ longest-standing traditions and a favorite among guests.
7. Trivia Night + Karaoke Party
Ready to put your knowledge (and your nerves) to the test? Trivia Night is where friendly competition meets laughter and teamwork. Expect quirky questions, random facts, and the occasional wild guess that somehow wins the round.
And when the trivia wraps up, the mic comes out! Our karaoke sessions are legendary, filled with cheers, bad singing, and unforgettable memories.
8. Bachata Night – Let’s Dance!
Our Bachata nights bring a touch of the Caribbean to the Swiss Alps! No partner? No problem. No experience? Even better. Just show up, have fun, and let the rhythm take over.
9. Sunset at the Lake
End your day the best way possible by watching the sun melt behind the mountains at the lake. Bring a drink, a few friends, and enjoy the calm, golden light that makes Interlaken so magical.
10. Club Nights at the Underground
When the lights go down, our famous Underground Club comes alive! Expect a mix of backpackers, locals, and music from all over the world. Whether you’re here to dance or just vibe, this is where the night truly begins.
11. Kayak Adventure
Paddle across crystal-clear waters surrounded by snow-capped peaks. Our kayak outings are the perfect mix of adventure, relaxation, and jaw-dropping scenery. Don’t forget your GoPro; every moment is postcard-worthy.
