Grindelwald where it all starts

Grindelwald is the biggest village in the region after Interlaken that is accessible by car. It is a very touristic place and a beautiful and convenient location. From the village, you can take cable cars and trains to go right into the high mountains above you. The surrounding of Grindelwald is a huge playground and skiing, snowboarding and sledding are definitely the most fun activities to do during winter time. After a long and exciting day of snow fun, it is time to relax and to party in the village of Grindelwald before going back to your hostel in Interlaken.

Here are Balmers Crew secrets spots for you to have the best apres ski experience during your holidays in the Jungfrau region

1. The Bus Stop Bar

It alls starts at The Bus Stop Bar!! THE go-to spot for apres ski in Grindelwald.

Coming down from the mountain, this is the MUST STOP BAR. The bar is made of an old yellow bus that is right at he end of the ski slope in Grindelwald. Your snowboard and skis drive you directly to the bar. The terrace offers a magnificent view of the mountains of the Jungfrau region.

The great selection of drinks makes Bus Stop one of the best apres ski bars in Grindelwald.
To mention – one of the best drinks here – hot mojito or motor oil. Come and try!

You can also dip in a hot swimming pool during “The Grindelwald les Bains “.
They are open daily during the winter season and have indoor seating if needed.

2. Bistro Memory

If you want to fully experience apres ski as its best, you head on to the Bistro Memory and enjoy their Memory Original Burger with homemade Eiger Fries (super garlicky, super good!).

The Bistro Memory is a meeting point for locals and travelers in Grindelwald. There is a large variety of Swiss cheese and potato specialities. It is really at cosy and rustic Bar with a bistro feeling. We love it !

After a fantastic Burger and a few beers, it is time to kick start the night at Avocado Bar…

3. Avocado Bar

Here you’ll get to know the local snowboarder and free skier crowd. Even the Avocado bar has a pretty laid back vibe at the beginning of the night, that changes as soon as it gets crowded and people from all around Grindelwald start dancing on the music. There is often live music and DJ. You will see that everyone is in ski boots and that create a really amazing ambiance. The bar serves really nice beer and the bartenders are the best !

4. Mescalero Club

If you haven’t had enough, you can keep on partying at Mescalero Club. During the ski season it is the only place in Grindelwald where you can dance and party until the early hours of the morning.

Bear in mind, the last bus back to Interlaken leave at 1:15am
