Hiking alone in Switzerland: is it safe?
If you are traveling by yourself as a solo female, you might be insecure about hiking in Switzerland. This country is the hiker’s dream so you shouldn’t miss it. In Switzerland, all the trails are very well marked so it is almost impossible to get lost but if you plan to hike solo, just follow all the usual guidelines:
1. Prepare your itinerary
Know your way and bring a map are often the minimum required to be able to go for a walk serenely, and without anxiety. You will not only be more in peace, but you will also reassure those around you! Stick to marked trails, always inform someone of your chosen route and use proper equipment. 2. Be well equipped
