Look; it's a hostel - so the rooms are small, it's cramped, the beds are small, etc. But the vibe and the energy and the people staying there and the staff are great. It's in a neat area of Interlaken eith plenty of grocery store, bar, bakery and restaurant options. Jake, the bartender is great!@!

Experiência irreal na Balmers nos últimos dias, Dario e a equipe fizeram da atmosfera um ótimo lugar para sair e conhecer pessoas. Também ótimo local para estações de trem e pontos de ônibus. Tudo estava limpo diariamente e todos os funcionários eram respeitosos. Voltarei em breve!

Eu estava preocupado porque é um albergue, mas a equipe é incrivelmente amigável e constantemente oferece atividades divertidas! Existem bares, lavanderia, pizzaria e pub nas proximidades, e está localizado entre as estações oeste e leste, tornando o transporte muito conveniente. No entanto, eu não sabia que os quartos eram compartilhados, então fiquei um pouco surpreso.

Probably the best hostel I've stayed at, the staff was incredibly friendly, and the rooms and facilities were clean.
There is a bar open from ~17:00-22:00, and unfortunately after 22:00 you can't hang out in the outside area (due to noise regulations as I understood it).
I saw some reviews about pillows being bad, but didn't have any issues, I guess that depends per person.
There's a lot to do in Interlaken and surrounding area, the hostel is only a ~15min walk from the train station Interlaken West&Ost, and there's a supermarket close by too.
As a solo traveller, the common areas and bar are were great, and there were daily activities planned as well (bingo, dancing classes, kayaking).
Had a great time here, shoutout to the Aussie bartender.

Balmers Hostel, Interlaken
Check in for the vibe—it’s what Balmers does best. The atmosphere is energetic and social, with events happening every night. It’s definitely not the cheapest hostel, but it has everything you need.
The kitchen can get quite busy, so plan your meals accordingly. Our room was a bit small for the price, and while the linens seemed fresh, the duvet and pillows had visible stains, which was a letdown.
That said, the energy of the place made up for a lot. Still loved the live and would recommend it to anyone looking for a lively base in Interlaken.

This is the best hostel i've ever stayed in my life!
The staff was great. Friendly, caring and proactive. They made sure to always have free- fun activities for their guests that included activities around the Interlaken region and also at the hostel.
The housekeeping team makes an excellent work and the place is always clean.
I stayed at a 6-bed female bedroom and the beds were comfortable, you had enough space for secure storage and the shared bathrooms/showers were *always* clean.
The kitchen is amazing, you have everything you need to make the best meals and save money while being in Switzerland.
You can hang out almost everywhere @ the hostel and it's just a very nice place to stay.
Definitely would love to be back.

A equipe de recepção é útil. O edifício é feito de madeira, por isso absorve o ruído. A cozinha é espaçosa. Todo mundo geralmente lava seus próprios pratos. Os banheiros são frequentados principalmente por jovens entre 18 e 25 anos. A cozinha e os banheiros são limpos regularmente. Como são salas de gênero misto, deve haver vestiários. Mudar no chuveiro é muito desconfortável. Os travesseiros são muito finos e desconfortáveis. Eles são praticamente inexistentes. Como em todos os albergues, o ronco é um problema. Se você roncar, por favor, fique em uma sala privada, não em um quarto de seis pessoas. Existem gaiolas de ferro em vez de armários, e abri -las e fechá -las é barulhento. Eles organizam atividades diárias como piqueniques no lago e festas, o que é muito agradável.
