This is the best hostel i've ever stayed in my life!
The staff was great. Friendly, caring and proactive. They made sure to always have free- fun activities for their guests that included activities around the Interlaken region and also at the hostel.
The housekeeping team makes an excellent work and the place is always clean.
I stayed at a 6-bed female bedroom and the beds were comfortable, you had enough space for secure storage and the shared bathrooms/showers were *always* clean.
The kitchen is amazing, you have everything you need to make the best meals and save money while being in Switzerland.
You can hang out almost everywhere @ the hostel and it's just a very nice place to stay.
Definitely would love to be back.

Il personale della reception è utile. L'edificio è realizzato in legno, quindi assorbe il rumore. La cucina è spaziosa. Tutti di solito lavano i propri piatti. I bagni sono per lo più frequentati da giovani tra 18 e 25 anni. La cucina e i bagni vengono puliti regolarmente. Poiché queste sono sale di genere miste, ci dovrebbero essere spogliatoi. Cambiare sotto la doccia è molto scomodo. I cuscini sono molto sottili e scomodi. Sono praticamente inesistenti. Come per tutti gli ostelli, il russare è un problema. Se russare, soggiorna in una stanza privata, non in una stanza per sei persone. Ci sono gabbie di ferro invece di armadi e aprire e chiuderli è rumoroso. Organizzano attività quotidiane come i picnic sul lago e le feste, il che è molto piacevole.

Ho zaino in spalla in Europa 3 volte e Balmer è di gran lunga il miglior ostello. Ho soggiornato a Balmers due volte e ho adorato entrambe le mie esperienze. L'ostello è divertente, pulito e accogliente. C'è un ottimo bar, luoghi per uscire e le camere hanno molto spazio

Ho trascorso un bel soggiorno all'ostello. Ho prenotato una stanza privata per me e il mio cane da compagnia. La posizione è centrale, è facile da raggiungere dalla stazione ferroviaria. Ci sono ristoranti in giro da mangiare fuori. Hanno anche una grande cucina per gli ospiti. Il personale è cordiale e accomodante. Li consiglierei.

We had a great experience at Balmers Hostel during our time in Interlaken. Check-in was seamless, and a big shoutout to Joel, who was super helpful with local recommendations and transit information.
Since it was our first time staying there, Joel also gave us each a free bus pass for the duration of our stay and we used it every day.
The hostel itself is large and has a quaint, cozy charm, filled with cute trinkets and decorative touches that give it a really warm, welcoming atmosphere. There are plenty of common areas to relax or meet other travelers.
Overall, Balmers is a well-run, character-filled hostel with great service. We’d definitely recommend it for anyone visiting Interlaken!

Absolutely one of the best places I have stayed at. The staff are friendly and helpful with activities each night to make it easier to meet people. It also helps Interlaken is an amazing base to travel around from, with the area itself having enough activities and shops to get anything you need.
I stayed in a 6 bed female and the best part had to be the sink and mirror in the room. I found having a chair in the room so useful as well.
The shared spaces are thought out and provide a great opportunity to relax, work or meet new faces. The hostel has heaps to explore too, with signs around the town leading you there.
The laundry next door is not owned by Balmers but I’d get there as they open to avoid having to wait for the machine. Others will put items in if you aren’t there.

Il sonno era comodo ed era bello vedere enormi cucine, piuttosto che piccole in cui le persone si stringono e si sentono a disagio nell'uso delle stufe. C'erano anche molti documenti. Bene che ci fosse una carta chiave e una zona salo molto bella. Mi piace questo ostello

Balmer merita sempre una visita. L'accoglienza è super amichevole e ti aiutano in qualsiasi domanda o dubbio. La cucina comune è molto spaziosa e molto ben attrezzata. L'unica cosa da cui eravamo fuori era le spezie e il sale, ma c'è una gabbia dietro l'angolo. Siamo stati insieme in una stanza privata per 8 persone. Lo spazio era ben attrezzato. Ha strisce via cavo per varie porte USB. Ci sono anche scatole nella stanza per la conservazione degli effetti personali. All'esterno nel giardino e nelle aree comuni, c'è più spazio per rilassarsi e trascorrere del tempo insieme. Torneremo :)

We booked a separate room with six bunk beds, which was spotless; only drawback there wasn't any lift and room was on 3rd floor.
Its location is convenient, as it is close to all supermarkets and bus stops.

The best hostel in all of my years of backpacking. I absolutely loved this place so much. Loved waking up every morning in this place. The pictures speak for themselves, this stay was so great – very social, activities, and the amenities so good.
There is so many common areas to rest, socialize, drink, watch movies, eat. It was just so fun to explore every corner. The kitchen was massive (amazing for Switzerland prices so I could cook). So happy to have found this place. Please stay here you won't regret it
