As of January 2018, holders of a Swiss Travel Pass enjoy the drive up to Schilthorn free of charge!

Where is the Schilthorn?

The Schilthorn is a summit in Europe, in the Bernese Alps of Switzerland. It overlooks the valley of Lauterbrunnen in the Bernese Oberland, and is the highest mountain in the range lying north of the Sefinenfurgge Pass. – Wikipedia

It is also the place where a famous James Bond movie has been shot.
In particular, the summit of Schilthorn is famous for is sunset over the Alpine peaks .

The Schilthorn is always compare to the Jungfrau
If you are visiting Interlaken, I’m sure Jungfrau comes to you first, then you come to Switzerland and you start talking with local people and you will surely hear about Schilthorn.

Jungfrau VS Schilthorn

The Schilthorn is not as high as the Jungfrau, but it has tremendous scenery of the mountain ranges.
In fact, most people from Interlaken went to Schilthorn, although many have never been to Jungfrau.

It is less touristic because it is much smaller than the Jungfrau but it is incredibly beautiful and the visits you can do on the top are relatively cheap !!

Normaly to get to the Schilthorn it is over 100 francs without a Swiss Pass,

If you have a Swiss Pass, it will be free this year 2018.
