Politique d'âge
Les enfants de moins de 18 ans ne sont pas autorisés à rester dans l'auberge. Aucun remboursement ne sera accordé aux clients qui se voient refuser l'accès en raison de la réservation d'un lit ou d'une chambre pour un mineur.

Politique d'annulation
La politique d'annulation de votre réservation dépend du taux, du canal et de la date de réservation choisis. Veuillez vous référer à votre e-mail de confirmation de réservation pour la politique d'annulation qui s'applique à votre réservation.

Flexible rate: Free cancellation up to 48 hours before the arrival date. Cancellations made later than this will be charged for the first 2 nights, excluding city tax.
Non-Refundable rate: Cancellations can be made free of charge within one hour of making the reservation. After this period, the full amount will be charged. Please be aware that after this time, we cannot offer a refund in case of hindrance or unforeseen circumstances.

Can’t find your booking info or cancellation policy? Email us at [email protected] with your booking confirmation code. If you don’t have it, include your arrival and departure dates, booking channel, and room type so we can locate your reservation.

Demandes d'annulation
If you booked directly with Balmers, please send your cancellation request by email to [email protected].
Clearly state that you want to cancel and include your booking confirmation. The time we receive your email will be considered the official cancellation time.
Important: Cancellations via phone, WhatsApp, or social media will NOT be accepted.

Modifications de votre réservation
Changes to flexible bookings are free of charge up to 48 hours before the arrival date. Rate changes are possible within 72 hours after making a reservation.
Changes on a non-refundable rate are possible within the first hour after making a reservation.

Group reservations
Different terms and conditions apply to reservations of more than 10 guests. Please contact [email protected] to inquire about a bookings. Balmers Hostel holds the right to refuse/ cancel group reservations and charge a damage deposit to any group reservations.

Tourism tax
All reservations are subject to 2.85 CHF tourism tax per person per night. The tourism tax consists out of two components; 1.80 CHF city tax and 1.05 CHF accommodation tax.

Le petit déjeuner
Balmers does no longer offer any sort of arranged breakfast. However, we do provide guests with the possibility to make their own breakfast in the guest kitchen. There is a supermarket and a bakery on less than 5 minutes walk of the hostel.

Bed linen
All reservation includes free use of bed linen. All beds are prepared with clean bed linen prior to receiving access to the room. Reservations do not include change of fresh bed linen unless specifically requested by the guest at reception (additional fee may apply).

Towels
All our Twin Rooms, Double Rooms and Single rooms come with free use of towels. Please note that towels will not be changed during the duration of your stay unless specifically requested by the guest at reception (an additional fee may apply).

Guests who are staying in a dormitory room can rent a towel at reception for 3.50 CHF. Please note that towel rental does not include daily towel change unless specifically requested by the guest at reception (additional fee may apply).

Promotional offers
Promotional offers cannot be combined with any other ongoing offer/promotion/discount.

Property
We reserve the right to ban people from the Balmers property when conducting inappropriate behavior, alcohol, verbal abuse, physical abuse and/or damage.

Smoking
Smoking inside the Balmers property is strictly prohibited with the exception of the designated smoking room. The no-smoking policy is strictly reinforced due to the historic nature of our buildings and offenders are therefore penalized with a 200 CHF smoking fine.
