Qu'est-ce que Balmers Hostel?
Balmers Hostel est la plus ancienne auberge privée de Suisse, située dans trois charmants chalets suisses entourés de sommets de montagne en attendant d'être explorés. C’est un endroit social détendu où les voyageurs peuvent se connecter, se détendre et profiter d'une atmosphère ludique et unique en son genre. Oh, et avant d'oublier, nous organisons une fête ou deux, surtout en haute saison.
Pour qui est Balmers Hostel?
Balmers Hostel est destiné aux voyageurs ouverts et décontractés âgés de 18 ans et plus, à la recherche de plus qu'un endroit pour dormir.
Que vous soyez ici pour explorer les Alpes suisses, rencontrer des gens partageant les mêmes idées du monde entier, ou simplement vous détendre et profiter de l'ambiance, Balmers est votre maison loin de chez vous.
Nous accueillons des voyageurs en solo, des groupes de jusqu'à 8 personnes et de toute personne ayant un sentiment d'aventure et de respect pour les autres.
Heure d'enregistrement & heure de sortie
L'enregistrement commence à 16h00 et le départ s'effectue jusqu'à 10h00. Au moment du départ nous vous demandons de bien vouloir descendre vos draps ainsi que vos housses de couette et taies d'oreillers.
I'm arriving really late, will I still be able to check in?
Oui, mais vous devrez vous enregistrer en ligne. Nous préparerons ensuite vos clés afin que vous puissiez accéder à votre chambre après la fermeture de la réception.
Comment se rendre à l'Auberge depuis la gare ou la station de bus ?
En bus :
Depuis la gare d'Interlaken Ouest, prenez le bus numéro 105 et descendez à l'arrêt Hôtel Sonne. Cela prend 5 minutes
Depuis la gare d'Ost, prenez le bus numéro 104 et descendez à l'arrêt Hôtel Sonne. Cela prend 5 minutes
Nous sommes à environ 30 mètres des deux arrêts. Le prix du bus est de 3,80 francs par personne. Les bus circulent de 7h00 à 20h30 environ. Une fois arrivé à l'auberge, nous vous fournirons un pass de bus gratuit pour votre commodité et pour le reste de votre séjour.
A pied :
Cela prend environ 20 minutes depuis les deux gares
De la gare d'Interlaken-Ouest – tourner à gauche en sortant de la gare et suivre la rue principale, tourner à droite au rond-point juste après Mc Donalds jusqu'en bas. Restez sur le côté gauche de la route et continuez tout droit jusqu'à ce que vous voyiez des panneaux marron indiquant Balmers. Suivez ces panneaux
Comment se rendre à Balmers depuis la gare d'Interlaken Ouest
De la gare de Interlaken Ost – sortir directement de la gare, entre la banque et le centre commercial Coop, tout droit passer deux ronds-points et suivre les panneaux marron direction Balmers.
Vous pouvez également prendre un taxi pour environ 15 chf de chaque gare.

Depuis l'aéroport :
Nous avons trois principaux aéroports, Zurich, Genève et Bâle

🏔️ At 3,571 metres, on the Sphinx observation deck, you can enjoy the view of Aletsch Glacier, the longest glacier in Europe, and the surrounding 4,000+ metres high mountains, which give a spectacular panorama.

Spanning 1.4 km, this dramatic canyon is carved through 200-meter-high cliffs by the powerful Aare River, which has been shaping the landscape for over 10,000 years. The walk through the gorge is an easy and family-friendly experience, but don’t let that fool you—it’s anything but ordinary. The sound of rushing water, towering rock walls, and sheer beauty of this spot will leave you in awe.
It can get busy, so if you want to beat the crowds and enjoy the gorge in peace, aim for late afternoon or early morning visits. On a sunny day, the blue water of the river will leave you speechless.
How to Get There:
📍 Aare Gorge (Aareschlucht) is located near Meiringen in the Bernese Oberland, Swiss Alps. You can access it via two entrances (East and West), with the option to walk through or make a loop if you’re driving.

If you’re getting a Swiss Travel Pass, you’ll enjoy unlimited rides on trains, boats, buses & even cable cars — but here’s something they don’t tell you: panoramic trains are “included,” but you still have to pay around 50 CHF for a seat reservation. 😅
BUT… there’s one stunning panoramic route that’s completely free with your Swiss Pass!
It’s the Luzern-Interlaken Express — and trust me, the views are breathtaking! 🏔️🚞
Pro tip:
For the best scenery, sit on the right-hand side (towards Interlaken). In peak season, you can pay 16 CHF to reserve a right-side seat, but in May, we didn’t need to. Perfect for budget travelers!

Stressless 📍 Bachalpsee, Switzerland 🇨🇭
A lot of different hikes start from Grindelwald, but here is the most famous one: Hiking to Bachalpsee. It is a fascinating journey to one of the most beautiful viewpoints in Europe.
There are two lakes, a small one and a large one. But it doesn`t matter because the place is so pleasant, relaxing, and quiet. No matter which way you look, the panorama is superb. It is a real treat to sit on the grass and enjoy the present moment.
This round-trip hike is about 8 km (5 miles) and takes around two hours
