Compared to Backpackers Villa, this is a bit far from the train stations. They do provide toilet seat cleaner and Backpackers villa does not. I was there on an off season time, so only there was another person in the 4 bedroom dorm. Everything was neat and clean, but no breakfast, which is offered in Backpackers villa. They do give free ear plugs which is a plus I guess

One of the most beautiful hostels I've ever stayed in. I went in February 2019, and we were given a room with a wonderful mountain view. Close to everything, a great place to spend time with friends and enjoy the facilities.

Amazing hostel and the staff are very welcoming, bedrooms are clean and big lockers for everything. Would definitely come back. Jake was amazing as a staff member and behind the bar, would recommend.

Truly the best hostel ever with the nicest staff. They hosted phenomenal events for such a great price. It is also in the absolute best location. Stay here over anywhere else! It’s also a very unique hostel with very unique showers.

One of the most social hostels I’ve ever been in. Jake was a great DJ/Barman. He made sure that eveyone enjoyed their night and did not stop until he was sure of it. Jake is one of the best hosts I’ve had and honestly recommend this hostel to everyone!

Balmers was awesome. if you want to meet tons of people from all over this is the place. Everyone, from the staff to the guests, were extremely friendly, social, and welcoming. The staff were some of the bests people ive ever met. Ivan was so amazing. They offer activities to go on which makes it easy to meet people and get the most out of your trip. it was one of the nicest, cleanest, well maintained hostel ive been to. Its worth the price. They have a club, bars, great outside area, close to a ton of great restaurants, great mountain view, easy walk to train station, and a coffee machine (necessary). loved this place and miss it everyday. also the Indian food in the area is top notch.

One of the best hostels I've ever been to... the infrastructure is well-designed. In the shared rooms, everyone has a large "drawer" that you can lock and store their belongings. Each bed has a lamp and a USB and C port. There are plenty of 🚽 and several showers. The kitchen has everything you need to prepare a full meal, and there's a Coop (supermarket) two blocks away. They have their own bars inside, one outdoors in the courtyard, and another underground one with a ping-pong table and karaoke. They also have a hostel "museum" with a pool table and darts. The jacuzzi seen in the photos no longer exists or is only used in the summer; it didn't exist in September 😅. They organize several activities for everyone to socialize. There's something for everyone, but I recommend arriving with a good level of English if you're looking to socialize. There's a bus stop right in front and they also give you a transport card so you can at least save on the bus fare... Context: we used it to sleep, eat and bathe, to come back from hiking and rest and we went in September. Obviously it's very different from a hotel or an Airbnb, that's why it's called a hostel.

The best hostel I've ever been to! The activities, the people, the staff, all top-notch! The Balmers guys—Joel, Dario, Ivan, Ori, Wilson, and the others—are geniuses! If you have to go to Interlaken, this is the best place to stay, without a doubt! They have everything you need to have the best time at the hostel: a great kitchen, dining room, places to relax, play music, play games, their own disco—everything. This was my second time there, and I would choose them again! Balmers will always be in my heart.

Basing ourselves in Interlaken was a great decision, and staying in Balmers was even better. Everyone who works there is super friendly, and Dario was always available! I'll be back ❤️
