Ice Climb in the Swiss Alps! Learn to rappel and ice climb a glacier using ice axes, ropes and crampons. Full instruction will be given by a qualified Swiss UIAGM mountain guide. You do not need to be a body builder to climb ice, only a great sense of adventure and an appreciation of the spectacular alpine scenery!
This is an all day adventure, with a scenic drive up to the Susten Pass through some of the most dramatic scenery in Switzerland! With your warm gear, boots, crampons, gaiters, helmet, backpack, ice aces and technical gear (all provided), you will take a short hike up to the edge of the glacier, where the adventure really begins. Roped together for safety, you will be led out across the glacier to a suitable crevasse, where the ice climbing begins! For those concerned about the ice-climbing component, this trip can also be booked as a glacier hike.
What to bring: Picnic lunch, lots of water, sun protection and a camera
