With its 10 glacial waterfalls inside the mountain, nicely illuminated and made accessible through a tunnel lift, the Trümmelbach Falls are one of a kind.
The Trümmelbach Falls drains the enormous glacial walls of the Eiger, Mönch, and Jungfrau – and transport as much as 20,000 liters of water per second, together with around 20,200 tons of debris annually. This stems from the approximately 24 m² surrounding areas – around half of which is covered by ice and snow. Spectacular sights await visitors on the inside of the mountain – and truly unique views of glacial waterfalls.
The Trümmelbach Falls is of course a national significance – and listed in the federal inventory as a natural monument. In addition, they form a part of the UNESCO world cultural heritage and are also worthy of mention in the 3-star Guide Michelin.
